This is creating more confusions?

All I need is to monitor CPU usage (or other stats) on Sun box using MRTG
running on NT. So what is the usual way to proceed?

I believe that we have to use the external monitoing script functionality

1. Is the script collocating with the MRTG box? If it is (I can use one of
the published Perl script), what will be the syntax if we are monitoring
the SUN box with IP address x.x.x.x

2. If the script resides with machine that we are monitoring, what will be
the syntax within the MRTG to call the script and parse the values.

Appreciate any clarification and thanks for your feedbacks.

I achieve the copy task in my scripts by setting up a Samba share...

not sure...

I use 'scp' to copy remote files on linux, not sure what you can use
under NT
