[mrtg] Delayed Threshold Actions

I've checked the archive and havn't found if anyone is actually doing what I
want to do.

I know the documentation tells how to set a script to execute when a
threshold is crossed. Thomas J. Muggli describes how to do it very well at
http://www.cloudnet.com/~tom/mrtg/thresh.html.

My problem is one of timing. What I want is an action to take place (e-mail
sent, pager paged, etc) if the threshold remains crossed for 15 minutes
(using the default 5 minute polling). If my CPU remains > 95% utilization
for > 15 minutes, let someone know.

I know it is possible with sufficient programming and there are probably two
or three ways to do it.

My question is - is anyone already doing it? How did you do it? Any pitfalls
to avoid?
