[mrtg] MRTG SNMPv2c configuration...

Hello all,

I am currently trying to configure MRTG to monitor some of the ifHC*
counters, and I found the following section of the MRTG Configuration
Reference. However, I can't make heads or tails of it.

*--begin excerpt--*

=item SNMPv2c

If you have a fast router you might want to try to poll the ifHC*
counters. This feature gets activated by switching to SNMPv2c.
Unfortunately not all devices
support SNMPv2c yet. If it works, this will prevent your counters
from wraping within the 5 minute polling interval. As we now use 64 bit
instead of the
      normal 32 bit.

      Example:

       Target[ezwf]: 2:public at router1:::::2

*--end excerpt--*

Could you elaborate a little on this functionality? I have tried entering
the OID for the ifHC* mibs directly, but I get an error, as it seems the
SNMPGet function is SNMPv1 only. This passage leads me to believe SNMPv2c
is supported, however.

I would greatly appreciate any help,
Thanks in advance,
