[mrtg] Can't change polling interval

I cannot change the polling interval to a short period of time.  When I do I
receive a message that "mrtg.lib.pm" has a 5 minute interval set.  I am
running MRTG on a NT machine.

I want to poll a certain router every two minutes to determine if the totals
are turning over.

Anyone have an idea of what I need to do to make this work?
