[mrtg] Newbie to RRD

I have MRTG running on a Red Hat 6.0 machine but would like to move to
RRDtool.  I found the RPM and seem to have the files in place but putting
the "LogFormat: rrdtool" line in mrtg.cfg has not changed anything.  The RRD
website says it will convert all my *.log files to *.rrd but nothing is
happening.  Do I need to restart MRTG or the whole machine?
