[mrtg] Mrtg + Script

Hello would like to implement a script or a service like telnet server.com
3456 at a port. When i make that, then i becoume a value. but when i make
the telnet with mrtg or said better when i start the script i dosnt get the
value and dosent write anything in the log files.

Can someone help me?
