[mrtg] PNG instead of GIF

Hi all,

I'm trying to run mrtg 2.8.12 and I've a problem, I need GIF files, but mrtg 
is generating PNG files, I've tried get the gdlib v.1.3 from 
http://www.boutell.com/gd/http/ as is it said on the README file, but this 
site show me this advise "You don't have permission to access 
/gd/http/gd-1.3.tar.gz on this server."

What must I do to get GIF files????????
