I assume you are talking about ``old'' data.  MRTG is not capable
of importing old data.  You could probably skip the front-end (MRTG)
and call the back-end (rateup) directly.  This would not be my
favourite approach.

Actually I am currently "importing" old data.  It is not from an
oracle database but that doesn't matter. The data is coming from
a unix server with limited access to the outside world.  I collect
statistics on it every minute and ftp this data to somewhere else.
On this other machine, I import it into an RRD (round robin database).
