[mrtg] Advice for conversion to RRDTool

The voice of experience says that the conversion to rrdtool is straightforward (thank you Tobi!), but make sure you have a CGI (or group of CGIs) that will output HTML suited to your needs before you make the switch.  I made the assumption that the conversion would be "plug-n-play" a week ago, and have spent a significant amount of time putting together CGIs to suit my needs.

It's extremely frustrating to me and those who rely on my graphs to know that certain links are being constantly monitored and that data is being collected, but no graphs exist to justify the work I've been doing.  I hope this piece of advice proves useful for anybody considering such a conversion.
