I am running MRTG 2.9.2 and have noticed a problem with the output of one of my graphs. It started reporting numbers that seems to be multiplied by a number close to 100. This started happening when I upgraded from MRTG 2.8.12. When upgrading, I did not modify my configuration file.

Here is target that this is occurring on. Note, it has been modified to remove any specific information about my network.

Target[target1]: tempid&tempid:public at ipaddr * 9 / 5 + 32
Title[target1]: Current Ambient Temperature in Control Room
Options[target1]: growright, noinfo, nopercent, gauge
MaxBytes[target1]: 150
YLegend[target1]: Temperature
ShortLEgend[target1]: Temperature
Legend1[target1]: Temperature
Legend2[target1]:
Legend3[target1]: Temperature Peak
Legend4[target1]:
LegendI[target1]: #:
LegendO[target1]:
PageTop[target1]:
Current Ambient Temperature in Control Room

Here is a portion of the MRTG 2.8.12 log file.

972591948 63 63
972591948 63 63 63 63
972591650 63 63 63 63
972591600 63 63 63 63
972591300 63 63 63 63
972591000 63 63 63 63
972590700 63 63 63 63

Here is a portion of the MRTG 2.9.2 log file.

972591902 62.6 62.6
972591902 6186 6186 6186 6186
972591603 6186 6186 6186 6186
972591600 6186 6186 6186 6186
972591300 6186 6186 6186 6186
972591000 6186 6186 6186 6186
972590700 6186 6186 6186 6186

Since this is the only target that I do math on, I stripped off the modifiers. I then started receiving Celsius which is the correct output. From there, I determined that I could multiple and add, but once I placed the division of 5 onto the target, I started receiving incorrect results. I then tried multiplying by 1.8 instead of * (9/5), but that resulted in incorrect output.

The clear difference in the two files is that 2.8.12 reported whole numbers while 2.9.2 reports real numbers.

Your help is appreciated,
