[mrtg] Organizing Targets

Newbie question (extra grace requested <G>).

I have gotten MRTG mrtg-2.9.0pre23 installed & running. I read about
cfgmaker and created a config for one router. What wasn't documented was
that when you run cfgmaker again, it wipes out your first run if you give it
the same config file name (mrtg.cfg). Oh well...

My question is that I have devices (targets) in 5 cities that I would like
to monitor ( 7 routers and as many Cisco switches). I can't find any hints
as to how to organize them. Do I use cfgmaker into seperate files and then
cat them all together? How do I organize the log, etc files? I would think I
would want to put them in seperate directories.

How do others do this?

Do you create directories for each target within directories for each city?
Do you have seperate *.cfg files for each target? city?

When reading about indexmaker, it doesn't mention any capability to set up
indexes per directory.

Anyway, I was just wondering how others handle their MRTG site organization.
