Technically, HPOV is correct.  However, apart from the OID you also
need to specify an instance.  This instance can be seen as an index
into a table.  In the CPU case, there is not really a table, there's
just one entry.  Most of the cases where there is only one entry, it
is common to use number 0 as the instance.  In cases where there is
a real table (such as the interfaces in and out) it is common to start
with 1 and count up.

Most newbies are confused when they have to learn al this new stuff.
What happens is that they do specify the OID in the config file but
forget (or don't know about) the instance.  I can imagine that this
is why the nt guide only talks about an OID (not that I approve, but
then again, why would anybody care:)

In short:
The OID is 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58 and when you query this from within
MRTG you need to specify instance 0, this makes a total of
1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.58.0
