Good point! I apologize if I misunderstood. Thank you to everyone
who's communicating in English even if it's not your primary language!
Speaking as someone with no fluency in any other language (not for
lack of trying) I know that's not easy. Forgive me for jumping to
conclusions!

Subject: [mrtg] Advice to newcomers
1. It will do you a lot of good to read the following *before* asking
questions:
The mrtg website: http://ee-staff.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/mrtg.html
(and follow the links.)
And read the [unofficial] FAQ: http://faq.mrtg.org/FAQ.html
And search the archive: http://www.ee.ethz.ch/~slist/mrtg/
2. If you've looked there, and couldn't find your answer, or didn't
understand it, *say so* in your posting. As with any other mailing list,
people will be a lot more helpful if you've at least made some effort to
solve your problem, instead of coming in and asking the same question that
was just answered the day or week before. (see
http://faq.mrtg.org/FAQ003.html)
3. Don't assume that someone is being nasty, just because it sounds to you
like they are. Please remember, this is a world-wide group, and not
everyone here speaks English as their native tongue. :) I'm sure I
inadvertantly insult many Germans when I try to speak their language; I try
to give others the same benefit of the doubt.
