I don't know if this is the BEST way, but it seems to work for me.
I wanted to graph a single CPU utilization value for my 3COM router,
and I wanted to see it as a single blue line (that is, a line as opposed
to a solid mass).
I believe that the first color is always shown solid rather than a line,
so I turned the first, third and fourth colors off by setting them to white
(same as the background), and set the second color to blue.
Since MRTG has to deal with two values, I specified the same OID
(here 1.3.6.1.4.1.43.2.13.8.4.0, 3COM CPU utilization) twice. The
first doesn't show up, being white, the second is the one set to blue.

Subject: [mrtg] question on graph output
I'm using mrtg + rrdtool. My question is an aesthetics thing - a large
portion of what I monitor (modem use, mainly) is only one value, so I have
blue-tipped green graphs, which is fine. What I was wondering was if anyone
knows how to suppress the 'Maximal Total, Average Total, and Current total'
lines on the graphs. I really only need it to display 'Maximal In:, Average
In:, and Current In:' Thanks.
