[mrtg] 2.9pre26 indexmaker problem?

I have had this problem with pre24, pre25, and now pre26. I have checked the
list archives and the FAQ, but haven't found anything (maybe I am searching
for the wrong keywords?). If this is answered elsewhere, then I apologize
for wasting the list's time. Just give me a pointer to the answer and I will
be on my way. :)

I run cfgmaker with the following command line:

./cfgmaker --ifref=descr --global "LogDir: /var/mrtglogs" --global "HtmlDir:
/home/httpd/html/mrtg" --global "ImageDir: /home/httpd/html/mrtg" --global
"Options[_]: bits" --global "WriteExpires: Yes" --global "IconDir:
/usr/local/mrtg-2/lib/mrtg2/" --global "RunAsDaemon: Yes" --global
"Interval: 5" --global "WithPeak[_]: wmy" public at gapuna.inside.com >>
mrtg.cfg

And when I run "indexmaker mrtg.cfg" I get this error:

Can't use string ("gapuna.inside.com_ethernet0_0") as a SCALAR ref while
"strict refs" in use at ./indexmaker line 205.

My suspicion is that it is choking because I used the --ifref=descr option
when I generated my mrtg.cfg, but I wanted to get a second opinion before
moving on to manually editing the files to add the interface descriptions.

In any case, if it is a bug, then is the list the proper reporting place?
The docs say Mr. Oetiker appreciates feedback, but it doesn't seem to
specify the exact method.
