[mrtg] Problem with external program with mrtg-2.9.0pre26

I recently moved from MRTG 2.8.12 to mrtg-2.9.0pre26.  Everything has been
working fine except calls to external programs.

When MRTG gets to this Target:

Target[netserver]: `cat /usr2/mrtg/mrtg-2.9.0pre26/images/usrgrand`

It comes back with this error:

[net at tron mrtg-2.9.0pre26]$ bin/mrtg mrtg-usr.cfg
Error:
  can't resolve "" to IP address
SNMPGET Problem for 
[net at tron mrtg-2.9.0pre26]$ 


When I execute the command from the shell, it works fine.

[net at tron mrtg-2.9.0pre26]$ cat /usr2/mrtg/mrtg-2.9.0pre26/images/usrgrand
0
15
0
0


The same config file and external program works fine with MRTG 2.8.12.  Am
I missing something?  Do you need more information to figure this out?
