Has anybody attempted to run MRTG-2.9.10 and REdhat 7.0

I cannot seem to get the polling right .. keeps commint back with locked
fils errors ..
Note .I am very new at both mrtg and linux ..

I have a 90 line crontab file -- polling aprox 15 devices every 5 minutes
..

I have the same type of crontab file running under mrtg2.8.12 and rh 6.1
and all seems just fine ..
Wondering if my problem is with mrtg or linux ..
