I have a perl script to generate total cpu load, butr when walking, it's
crappy chars, like this:

enterprises.ucdavis.52.101.1 = "88" Hex: 38 38

and i just want 88 not  "88" Hex: 38 38

In the script i have converted the output to int like this:

	$idsum = $split_values[19];
        	$idcpuout = int($idsum);
        	print "$idcpuout\n";

and still got crappy output.

What shall i do?
