SNMP = Simple Network Management Protocol
MIB = Management Information Base
OID = Object IDentifier (a section of a MIB tree, also know as a branch or leaf).

Subject: [mrtg] OIDs
Hi,
I´m a newbie and I've installed the MRTG in my WNT to monitor the traffic on
my router.
I have a simple question: what is a SNMP OID ??? What does OID stand for ??
