Michael,

Thanks. It really is easy to switch to logformat: rrdtool.

The graphs look different because RRDTool can do much more with graphs that
MRTG can. If you change your logformat, you will no longer have html pages
automatically generated by MRTG, they will be created on demand, when
someone wants to look at a target graph.

14all.cgi is the "front end" that now performs the graphing function that
used to be done by MRTG when you were running it without rrdtool. You can
use others (like routers.cgi), but I chose 14all because it was easy to
implement and install.

Another very good to I use for my NOC is Big Brother. You can find it at
http://www.bb4.com. It is also open source, but they have support contracts
available as well.

Dear Paul,

that is too easy and cool :)
i print it out to read carefully.

but please i'm feel that i misunderstanding something. and i will explain
now

i have MRTG runs on a machine with OS NT 4.0 server and i monitor with it
Leased lines,routers,pipe lines,Max TNT,
and the graph i saw in your pages is deffrient than the graphs on my
machine? so why?
is it means that if i run RRD Tool it will change my graphs to these in your
pages? also what is 14all.cgi?

please i want to know if you have any new good tool for monitoring cause i'm
in the NOC team in the company and i'm searching for new tools help me.

regards,

Michael
