I *think* MaxBytes will depend on what your block size is.  It's in Bytes,n
 ot bites so it very well may be the first one, but it may be 
9216000000000 too. (9,000,000,000 * 1,024) or even something else.  
How will you get the info?  SNMP?  Custom script?

Definitely gauge for disk drives.
