1250000 is the number of bytes, so if you multiply it by 8 to get bits,
you will see you get 10 megabits.  So for a 100 megabit line, you would
want 12500000 as the MaxBytes option.

1250000 * 8 = 10,000,000 bits
12500000 * 8 = 100,000,000 bits
