You can call the Target anything you want.  Post the snippet of the 
config (change the ip address and community first) and we can all 
take a look at it...

Please forgive me if this is another newbie RTFM question, but can you tellm
 e what the significance is of the text that appears between the square 
brackets of the Target command in an MRTG cfg file?  Where does this textc
 ome from? etc.

I am trying out a small script to monitor CPU load on my 6509 switch and 
MSFC, but my config log is complaining about problems with my Target 
statements.  The log message goes something liek this:

2001-08-17 14:42:33 -- WARNING: I can't find a "target[cpu.1]" definition
2001-08-17 14:42:33 -- ERROR: Please fix the error(s) in your config file

Thanks, in advance, for any help you can provide.
