You have to put the FULL OID (not the end) in the target. That is the OID
starting with .1.3.6.1.4.1 if this a private MIB (and after the OID number
of the private vendor and so on ...).

i thought i had to give the port to the configuration, but it looks like he
does'nt need it.
querying the proxy with snmpwalk shows this:
bash-2.04# snmpwalk -p 3401 -s proxy public 5.2.1.2
End of MIB.

time taken 1 milliseconds
is this correct? my knowledge on snmp is very small.
