Hi, everyone:

I am new to MRTG, and have trouble to continue, so
please help.

I installed MRTG on a RedHat 7.1 machine, and followed
Tobias Oetiker's UNIX MRTG Installation Guide to
configure.

Every time, I run manually

cfgmaker --global 'WorkDir: /home/httpd/mrtg'

          --global 'Options[_]: bits,growright'

          --output /home/mrtg/cfg/mrtg.cfg

           public at 66.59.140.3
and

/usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/mrtg /home/mrtg/cfg/mrtg.cfg

it creates new html file like 66.59.140.3_2.html,
66.59.140.3_3.html and ......, it does not overwrite
the first one: 66.59.140.3.html.

Two problems here:

At first, my Apache server does not know
66.59.140.3.html. If I renamed 66.59.140.3.html to
index.html, it is working fine. In httpd.conf file I
configured <VirtualHost 66.59.142.9>
           DocumentRoot /home/httpd/mrtg
           ......
           </VirtualHost>

Secondly, if I changed " DrectoryIndex Index.html " to
"DerectoryIndex 66.59.140.3.html" in httpd.conf file,
66.59.140.3.html can be displayed.

This way my configuration is still not working,
because I can not add all,like 66.59.140.3_2.html, and
so on, because they are not static.

Anyway, what I did here is that I run cfgmaker and
mrtg to produce html file, then configure Apache
server to provide this html file to be displayed on a
web browser.

Any idea, please help. Thanks in advance.

Shawn Xu
