Hi, everyone:
I have MRTG running on a RedHat Linux 7.1 machine, and
based on Tobias Oetiker's UNIX MRTG Installation
Guide. I manually run
./cfgmaker --global 'WorkDir: /home/httpd/mrtg'
          --global 'Options[_]: bits,growright'
          --output /home/mrtg/cfg/mrtg.cfg
           public at 66.59.140.3
and
/usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/./mrtg /home/mrtg/cfg/mrtg.cfg
and
./indexmaker mrtg.cfg > /home/httpd/mrtg/index.html
Then I am fine. You can check http://66.59.142.9
Now I want to automate the process of MRTG, and I
added the following into /etc/crontab based on Tobias
Oetiker's guide:
0,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 * * * * \
/usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/./mrtg /home/mrtg/cfg/mrtg.cfg \
                --logging /home/http/mrtg/mrtg.log

Then there is nothing changed if you refresh
http://66.59.142.9
How to make MRTG automate processing? Please help.
Thanks in advance.
Shawn Xu
