Heres what I do:

Add RunAsDaemon: Yes and Interval: 5 to the top of your config. Then I use
FireDaemon (http://www.firedaemon.com/) to run it as a service. The
executable for the service is perl.exe, with mrtg configname.cfg as
parameters.

I am running MRTG (win2000) with the "start /b" in my batch file and
everytime it
runs the rateup.exe dos box pops up on the screen for every query it makes.
Any
idea how to make this rateup dos box quit popping up?
