I have configured MRTG to show me the traffic patterns on 2 Cisco 2501s
running IOS 12.0
I am getting good graphs but I am a bit confused on how to read my graphs.
Each interface is configured like so
### Interface 5 >> Descr: 'Serial0.1' | Name: 'Se0.1' | Ip: '' | Eth: '' ###
Target[##.##.###.##_#]: 5:group@##.##.###.##:
SetEnv[##.##.###.##_#]: MRTG_INT_IP="" MRTG_INT_DESCR="Serial0.1"
MaxBytes[##.##.###.##_#]: 32000
Title[10.##.##.###.##_#]: Traffic Analysis for 5 -- routername
PageTop[##.##.###.##_#]: <H1>Traffic Analysis for 5 -- routername</H1>
<TABLE>
<TR><TD>System:</TD> <TD>routername in </TD></TR>
<TR><TD>Maintainer:</TD> <TD></TD></TR>
<TR><TD>Description:</TD><TD>Serial0.1 connected to routername </TD></TR>
<TR><TD>ifType:</TD> <TD>frame-relay (32)</TD></TR>
<TR><TD>ifName:</TD> <TD>Se0.1</TD></TR>
<TR><TD>Max Speed:</TD> <TD>250.0 kb/s</TD></TR>
</TABLE>
What is the best way to configure this to represent my 256k frame-relay
links in the graph?
I use 32000 at instructed.
When I view my graphs, they read on the left hand side: bytes per second and
then
6.0k
4.5k
3.0k
1.5k
MAXIN 5956.0 B/s (18.6%)
MAXOUT 5956.0 B/s(17.8%)
My graph peaks between 1.5 and 3.0
Does my configuration look correct?
