[mrtg] need script to monitor acitve connections to router

I posted a question earlier, but I think it was misunderstood. I need to create a script that monitors active connections to my Cisco 3640 router, by gaining information from ARP, since we do not use dialup.

Cisco sent me a mib of .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.57&.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.2.1.57

first I need to know if someone can verify this is correct, secondly, I would like an example script to go by.
