Hi -
I am stumped on something that appears to be pretty easy for the list. I
have watched postings, read the archives, man pages, snmp FAQ, i.e. i RTFM's
of everything I could find. I still am not sure where this should even be
posted, but since others are monitoring just about everything, this seemed
the best option.. Here goes, no flames please.
I am trying to monitor and graph a netgear fa310tx ethernet card on eth0. -
there it is.
My thought is that I should do an snmpwalk to find the available OID for the
NIC card, then use that with configmaker. From the example below I do not
see an OID for eth0 and web searches for "netgear mib" does not produce an
OID.
I am not sure if I should graph the output from cat /proc/net/dev as an
older post stated. If so, how.
I have been monitoring a couple of routers since installing a couple of
weeks ago. They just popped up with info using public at xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx .
I thought the posting with the link to http://mrtg.yeehaw.net/ would solve
my problems, nope.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks - Craig
