[mrtg] Re: Need help with error

As you will see on my other post, I already figured that out :), my email
from my cronjobs was only saying exactly what I typed, so I ran the cfg file
from the command line and that is where I got the info about the .ok file.

Sorry I prematurely posted my question :)

May I suggest a perusal of the MRTG documentation, with particular emphasis
on the "mrtg.ok" file (which might even be in the part of the error message
you did not quote, come to think of it), where it turns out that MTRG
stashes
the ifDescr for use in generating the whine you see when it changes.

If you are abslolutely certain that the right thing is being monitored,
delete
the line appropriate in [config-file-base-name].ok  that the right thing is
being monitored, delete the line appropriate in [config-file-base-name].ok
