[mrtg] Strange error

I am running Mrtg 2.9.7 for Win NT as a daemon and I
am having a strange problem. It runs for a couple of
hours and then stops collecting data. Here is the
mrtgerr extract :


Error: 
creating socket: Unknown error 
SNMPGET Problem for public at 192.168.0.111 
WARNING: Writing ras_1.html: Too many open files at
mrtg line 802.


Can somebody HELP ME please ? I am just not able to
figure out the problem :-(
