Somebody else gave me this fix.  On your line:

Target[Router_ping]:  d:\programme\mrtgroot\bin\mrtg-ping-probe 10.1.1.2 

put the word perl in front of the d:.  Ex: `perl d:\programme..........`

I would like to test the mrtg-ping-probe, but it seems I am making
something wrong:

PS: I am running Winnt4  german, I have used ping.exe from win98 german,
and have copied only the
mrtg-ping-probe into the mrtg\bin-directory.

Any samples for winnt or suggestions what could be wrong would be
appreciated.
