    Copy (and rename) that EXAMPLE.conf into
$SNMP_INSTALL_PATH/share/snmp/snmpd.conf  ( for example, if your install
path was /usr/local/snmp, then you need to copy that file into
/usr/local/snmp/share/snmp/snmpd.conf )

    If you read the header of the EXAMPLE.conf file, it also tells you
this.
