Hi,
I use mrtg to monitor traffic out of my CISCO router and it works fine.
Now I want to make certain changes to my mrtg graphs that get drawn(I.e
daily, weekly etc). I am not a programmer and though I an using mrtg since
the last 4 months I haven't changed anything. Also I get stuck very easily
so please be as specific as possible. Here are my problems:
1) Right now all the plots are in bytes/second(B/s). I want this graph
to be plotted in bits per second(bps or b/s).
1a) If this can be changed and is changed, will I lose all the data
previously collected?(4 months).
2) My Link is 64Kbps so I want the ceiling of the graph to remain at say
64Kbps and the percentage of the maximum, last, current in/out to be a
percentage of 64K and not the maximum speed of my router port. Again if this
can be changed and is changed, will I lose all the data previously
collected?(4 months).
Even if I lose my data I don't mind keeping two versions running for
some time.
3) I have sixteen switches on my network and I have all NT
Workstation/Server Laptops. I want to know which computer is connected to
which port. The Laptops move frequently. The switches are all
Baystack\Nortel Networks. I tried using CAMMER but it works only with CISCO
equipment. I changed the OID in the cammer.pl file but that doesn't help.
any help will be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Chetan
