[mrtg] Help with MRTG and mibs please please?

I'm new to MRTG and I've been trying to get it to do something more than
just bytes/bits in and out- to use other mibs in other words- and I can't
seem to get it to work. Unfortunately, the documentation doesn't make it
clear to an idiot like me how to build a proper customized cfg file.
I am including a cfg below that was created with cfgmaker and then modified.
It tries to look at an interface on a router. It works fine if I don't
specify the ifDiscardsIn [and Out] mibs in front of the "/" but it does
nothing as shown. Obviously, I have changed IP addresses and community
BTY, I am using mrtg and rrdtool on Win2000 and it works fine with
14all.cgi. Still working on routers.cgi.
What I'd like to know is
1. What needs to change to make this work?
2. Is it possible to have the same file poll more than 1 mib for an
interface and how?
3. Is it possible to get cfgmaker to build such a cfg file or is it more
trouble than it's worth?
