[mrtg] still strange

So, I am still trying to get modem stats from ascend max boxen.

Many of them work fine, but I have a few that don't.

Problem: I can ping the boxes from my mrtg server, snmpwalk them from the 
server, even do an smpget of the OID (1.3.6.1.4.1.529.10.6.0) for modem 
counts, but when I plug the OID into the config, I get 'no response'. Any help?
