These are just Perl files, so you need Perl to run them...

But, how the hell could you use MRTG without Perl ?? Surely you didn't
realize that you use it... but MRTG is nothing more than a Perl script...(a
*very* nice one yes, but nothing more, not an executable).

Each Perl script in the contrib directory is different, and explications are
provided on how to use them (sometimes, it is in the Perl script itself...)
