This is correct.  Note however that the polling gap does *not* default to
300 seconds, it is the actual measured time inbetween to polls.

The "problem" is that gauge and absolute can be put into the config file
as the one overrides the other.  It does therefore not hurt to include them
both. OTOH other applications (like maybe 14all.cgi) may get into problems
when they use a different approach to parsing the config file.
