Hi,
I have been playing with the mathematical expression syntax of targets. For
example:
Target[PAIR_HO_to_Chester]:1:public at 128.1.0.246 + 1:public at 128.5.0.246
This works fine for WAN links which are up 24 hours a day. However when I
started monitoring workstations I discovered that if one of the SNMP Get's
fail (eg when the client is turned off). the entire sum returns 0 even if
other parts of the sum return good values.
Q1) Is there any way to get around this?
Q2) Is there any way for MRTG to cache the returned values so that any
additional appeals to "1:public at 128.5.0.246" in the same cfg file do not
require talking to the router again?
Thanks,
Alistair
