You need to use the bits option.  Search about halfway down on
http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/reference.html  for the
"Options" section.

Please forgive this simple question if it is answered elsewhere.  

How can I change the graphs from displaying Bytes/Per Second to Bits/Per
Second?  Obviously I have to multiply by eight, but I can't figure out
where.
