I appologise if I have totally misunderstood the question, but the way I
read it was that you want to use the Description in your target, but not
sure what to put there?

Telnet to the router and do a 'sh int' or do an SNMP walk on
1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2 - ifDescr

That will show you the name of the interface, ie Serial0 - Ethernet0/0 -
Serial0/0:3

Just remember that this is case sensitive and any odd characters like @,
colons, spaces and ampersands (&) will need to be preceded with a backslash
(\).
So interface Serial0/0:3 would be entered in your target as Serial0/0\:3
