hi guys.
I'm trying to get real bandwidth stats off of a cobalt RaQ at a colo facility,
and i'm having a bit of angst with it.

the config maker supplied file is only giving me one number, and it doesn't
look like traffic.
it's graph is here : http://stats.l7.net/cobalt-01.html

anyway,

Cobalt Linux release 5.0 (Pacifica)
Kernel 2.2.14C10 on an i586
[root at cob674 /root]# snmpd -V
cmu-snmp for Linux v3.5; 7. Feb 1998
http://www.gaertner.de/snmp/ -- The Linux CMU SNMP Project

as this box is a webhosting appliance more so than a server, i really
don't want to have to mess with the snmp daemon unless i have to.

so i walked the mib tree with getif,
and these 4 look somewhat promising:

.iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifInOctets.1
(.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.1)
current value = 3145404 and climbing

.iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifInOctets.2
(.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.2)
current value = 234037823 and climbing

.iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifOutOctets.1
(.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.1)
current value = 3444056 and climbing slow

.iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifOutOctets.2
(.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.2)
current value = 0 and holding

the config file i'm using :

options[_]: growright,bits
WithPeak[_]: wmy

Target[cobalt-bw]: 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.1&1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.1:public@	:
SetEnv[cobalt-bw]: MRTG_INT_IP=" " MRTG_INT_DESCR="eth0"
MaxBytes[cobalt-bw]: 1250000

Target[cobalt-bw1]: 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.2&1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.2:public@	:
SetEnv[cobalt-bw1]: MRTG_INT_IP=" " MRTG_INT_DESCR="eth0"
MaxBytes[cobalt-bw1]: 1250000

the pages it's creating are

http://stats.l7.net/cobalt-bw.html
and
http://stats.l7.net/cobalt-bw1.html

a quick glance at the graphs tells me something really isn't quite right..
especially as i'm currently downloading from that machine at 50k/bytes/sec,
and none of the graphs are showing anything higher than 33.6k/bits ....

anyone have any suggestions?
