The docs do show a way of reversing the "polarity" of the data reported
at each I/F and I tried it early on (at the time, the MRTG station and I
were both in the middle of things) but it gave me a variety of virtigo
trying to keep it straight, and when the MRTG station moved out of the
center of things in one direction and I moved out of the center in another
direction it really got bad--so I now have things set to the values that
Nature meant them to be--the "pen recorder" metaphor (the MRTG graphs) grow
from left to right, the Ins and Outs match the lables on each box, and
so on, and Life Is Good.
