So this means your counters keep increasing until the end of the month,
at which time you reset them.  Correct?

That's the normal behaviour, except that the amount is also divided by
the number of seconds lapsed.  See the faq site for an explanation.

That would be possible if you use the GAUGE option.  Please look that
up in the docs and give it a try.
