[mrtg] Problem with duplicate target names?

I've been playing with mrtg for the last few weeks, and now that I'm
comfortable that it's monitoring the things I want, I started playing with
the target names so they made more sense (is, no more guessing what
hostname_53.html contains). I seem to have run into a problem in that mrtg
won't allow multiple devices to have the same target names; ie, I can't
have a target named GigabitEthernet2 on two different devices
simultaneously. I can run the configs through mrtg one-by-one, but as soon
as the devices are included into the same high-level config file, mrtg
stumbles and does no work.
Any ideas how to get around this other than just running every device
by itself?
Thanks,
Rob Butler
