[mrtg] Inwards traffic not correct

It seems that the router I use does not correctly render the traffic
inwards, outwards it 
does correctly render the traffic.

Now I have: 

Current In: 1446.1 kB/s 
Current Out: 120.3 kB/s

Is it possible to only monitor the "out" traffic? Or could someone
explain
what could be wrong with my router?

Out is 100% accurate, but inwards is not. Inwards can hardly be any more
that outwards.

ifInOctets.1 = Counter32: 1970577098
ifOutOctets.1 = Counter32: 752641180

Is what I get from snmpwalk.
