Steve,

You beat me to the punch.  I was just typing this same thing in when 
I saw your reply.  

Jim - You can probably just take out the "header" information, put it 
into a master file, then just do include statments.  Put the Directory[_]: directive in the individual cfgs so that the only things in your master 
config are the global things and the Include: statements.  You may 
want to add comments (# This config includes blah) above each 
config so you don't forget what they do.

Although I haven't tried it myself, this might work:

Specify a root Working Directory at the top of the .cfg.  Then specify a 
Directory tag with the global option before the section for each device.

WorkDir: /home/httpd/html/mrtg/

Directory[_]: router1
.
. [router1 targets]
.
Directory[_]: router2
.
. [router2 tragets]
.

This should put the router1 targets in the subdirectory "router1".  The 
next Directory[_] tag should modify the subdirectory so that router2 
targets end up in subdirectory "router2".

Does this sound right?
