Hi George,
I had the same problem...
What i did was the following:
I get the part of the log i wanted, and put it in a recent part of another
test log just to view it in the picture.
So if the part was 30 min. i had to transform it in 6 parts of 5 min.
You can use the max. value and the average value to help you.
For example:
if you have a 30 min. line like this:
1004525100 865 961 1151 1356
you can transform it in 6 part of 5 min.
the average IN value is 865 and the max. IN value is 1151, so use your
imagination to transform it in 6 parts.
I would put in the average IN value the following:
1054
1151
896
654
864
712
You can see that the average of this 6 values is still 865 or near and the
max. value is in the second position.
You don't need to worry about the max. values cause it doesn't has anything
to do with the picture.
I know it is a dirty and wrong way to solve the problem but it was the only
solution i could imagine and it worked for me. I had a 17th July graph
printed in October!!!!!!
Hope it helps,
Wagner

I don't think you can do this as MRTG slowly drops the more specific 5
minute samples into 30 minute samples after 24 hours or so and then into
2 hour samples after a week or so, then finally down to 1 day samples
for the yearly data.
I think what I'm saying is that you don't have all the data you need for
that type of granularity anymore (I don't think, but if I'm wrong,
someone on the list will speak up)
