[mrtg] Traffic in interfaces & sub-interfaces

Hi!
Maybe this question is not very appropriate to this mailing-list, but maybe
there is someone who can clarify this question:
In a cisco router, the VLANs configuration shows up like
sub-interfaces of the FastEthernet0/0, for instance:
VLAN 1 - FastEthernet0/0.1
VLAN 2 - FastEthernet0/0.2
VLAN 3 - FastEthernet0/0.3
VLAN 4 - FastEthernet0/0.4
(...)
If I measure the bits in/out in the interface FastEthernet0/0 is
this equal to the sum of bits in/out in all the sub-interfaces
(FastEthernet0/0.1 + FastEthernet0/0.2 + FastEthernet0/0.3 +
FastEthernet0/0.4 + (...)).
